SIBA SUPREME NATIONAL CHAMPION 2008

Severn Sins (5.2% ABV) beat off competition from 342 other draught ales to be voted national champion ale at SIBA's annual conference.  Sins topped the class for porters, strong milds, old ales and stouts before being announced as the overall champion.

A silver medal for Dursley Steam Bitter in the best bitters category.

"A local brewer has achieved a prestigious award after only one year of trading. Severn Vale Brewing Co. of Cam, Gloucestershire has won a silver medal for Dursley Steam Bitter at the Western region beer competition of SIBA, the Society of Independent Brewers. Head brewer Steve McDonald said "This award means a lot to me, as it was judged by my peers - fellow brewers and brewing industry suppliers." This is the second award that Severn Vale have won this summer. Dursley Steam Bitter was also awarded a silver medal at the Cotswold Beer Festival, organised by Gloucestershire CAMRA at Postlip Hall near Winchcombe in July."

CAMRA COTSWOLD BEER FESTIVAL 2006

Dursley Steam Bitter was runner-up in the 'Gloucestershire Beer of the Year' competition. The judging was based on blind testing at the Cotswold Beer Festival 2006 held at Postlip Hall, Winchcombe.
